INTRO

“WHORES, ROBOTS, ADDICTS, and SELL-OUTS” are some of the forces that we are up against in this culture that seems to have lost its way. We must learn to recognize what these things are and WHY they exist to decide how to proceed with a more functional way of thinking. It is helpful to have reverence, understanding, and respect for the bad elements in life so that we are better able to recognize, appreciate, and be thankful for the good things we experience.

In our American culture, most of our lives we are trained to be tolerant, accepting, cooperative, compliant, and occasionally obedient people (robots). Much of our social lives, we are habituated to enjoy trivial things like sports, where we went on vacation, or what we ate for dinner. As humans, we have been put into smaller and smaller boxes of what is socially “acceptable” behavior. At work, it makes us more productive; and at home, it makes us more predictable.

This sort of simplicity and efficiency is much more profitable (for certain groups), but is it more human and is it worth giving up what the western world has spent the past 250 years searching for?”

To act from a place of responsibility and integrity, one must first understand these ideas contained in this description of inalienable rights. Many arguments can be built using these ideas as a foundation.

The main goal of Whores & Robots is to promote the idea that The Silent Majority cannot remain silent. Rational, reasonable ideas are all around us but are seemingly unpopular and therefore unspoken. We want to provide a means and a mechanism by which RATIONAL/REASONABLE thought can regain its rightful place within our conversations and, in turn, in our beliefs, and our economics and politics of our communities.

Our T-shirts are one of the main mechanisms by which we are hoping to spread these ideas, start conversations and friendships, MAINTAIN conversations and friendships, and possibly develop some cash-flow so that this venture might stay afloat! The powerful have mass media to inundate the rest of the world with, and we have our creativity, resourcefulness, and willingness!

Hi-Brow, pretentious, and pompous are the exact OPPOSITE of the attitude and style that we are hoping to employ. While we are believers in grace, generosity, and forgiveness; we are also proponents of strength and confidence.
